Services & Consultation
The majority of I/O psychologists work in consulting, human resources, government, or the private sector. As consultants, I/O professionals generally work for consulting firms as external consultants or within a single organization as internal consultants. These individuals develop plans to address specific issues/problems within organizations such as creating a climate for safety, restructuring a compensation plan, and developing a new training program. As Human Resources professionals, I/O psychologists are involved in the development and implementation of programs associated with recruitment, selection, training, performance evaluations, compensation/benefits administration, and diversity initiatives. Alumni that have chosen to stay in the Miami area have had the opportunity to work for Burger King Corporation, Citrix Systems Inc., Lowes, Telemundo Communications Group, and Florida International University to name just a few organizations.
